Captivating views and a quick break unquestionably call for lunch – an ideal moment welcomed by our local partners in their homes. Dalmatian cuisine and wine tasting are the best ways to slowly conclude our tour, but if you still have energy, we could easily make a quick stop at the Baraka winery. There, you can enjoy and savor authentic and local wines from Dalmatia. It’s perfectly fine if your energy is running low, and ‘fjaka’ (pronounced ‘fyaka’) takes over. This is a common phenomenon in Dalmatia. According to some Dalmatians, the definition of fjaka is a ‘psychophysical state of mind when there is an aspiration for nothing and to do nothing. A common mistake is to take fjaka as laziness, although, unlike the latter, fjaka is a noble state of mind and body, aspired to by all of humanity.
